Gary Macdonald helped us sell our property in Basingstoke (we had previously rented it out through Romans as well). It was a very smooth and convenient process and our house was sold within a month.

Being new to UK, it could get difficult to find a property to rent - but, with Romans (Basingstoke), the complete process was just a breeze. I was very much impressed by the professional approach and personal attention to details which helped us get a house in a short span of 2 weeks of search. I would recommend anyone looking out for a property deal to get in touch with Romans - I am sure they would have an appropriate match for their needs. 3 cheers to Rob and team at Romans!!

As a Landlord I have a good working relationship with Romans, following purchasing 2 properties through them late 2009, and they have rented them since. They always deliver to me what they say they will in a professional way and I am happy to recommend them to my business contacts both in Basingstoke and Reading.

Local area information

An historic Hampshire market town, Basingstoke offers excellent modern facilities including Festival Place shopping centre, a multi-screen Vue cinema, the Aquadome swimming pool, and numerous bars and restaurants.

The town has a diverse housing market, from modern apartments to large family homes, as well as rural properties in the surrounding villages, and represents good value for money compared to other locations. There’s a good choice of local schools too, which achieve results above the national average. Conveniently located just off the M3 and only 45 minutes by rail to London Waterloo, Basingstoke is also very popular with commuters.

Ofsted reports on the local area are available. Please see the following links for nursery schools, primary schools, or secondary schools. For a general overview please see ofsted.gov.uk.
