Tenants' Services

Over the last 30 years, we have established great relationships with our tenants, listening to what they want from a local lettings agent, and as a result we can offer you the following services...

Independent Inventory Service

When a Landlord adopts Romans' Managed Service, we will arrange for a professionally compiled inventory of the property's contents and condition, carried out by an independent inventory company with over 30 years' industry expertise.

One of their highly experienced inventory clerks will thoroughly inspect and photograph the rental property, recording its interior condition, decorative order, fixtures, fittings, meter readings and contents, if furnished, ensuring the resulting inventory report is an honest, independent picture of a property's condition.

Both landlords and tenants can have peace of mind that their inventory is written from a neutral viewpoint, helping to avoid disputes after the tenants have left the property.

Contents Insurance

When moving into a property, as a tenant you should always ensure that you have adequately insured your possessions against any unforeseen incident or accident. And it is not only accidents that need to be protected against. After all, you and your possessions are at risk should fire or flooding strike, so taking out a specialist tenant's insurance policy is a wise move in the quest to avoid losing out in such a scenario.

You will also have responsibilities and liabilities towards a landlord's property and its contents and you should hold insurance adequate to protect against any liability that may occur as the occupier of the property. Unfortunately, from time to time, accidents will happen, no matter how cautious you aim to be, so the best possible route you can take is to make sure you have an adequate policy in place to cover the financial loss should a mishap occur.

What's more, investing in an insurance policy can help you to protect your deposit and ensure part of this sum is not retained by a landlord at the end of your tenancy to make up for accidental or uninsurable damages.

Tenant Insurance

Romans and our insurance partner have joined forces to create a tailor-made tenant's insurance policy that includes tenant's liability cover as well as protection for all of your personal possessions in the event of an accident or unforeseen incident.

The service provides comprehensive cover that helps to put your mind at rest, while promising highly competitive premiums that will fit in with your monthly budget.

It is quick and easy to apply. Indeed, there is a simple process that helps you to work out exactly what type of policy is best and how much insurance you require.

Should you wish to extend the policy to cover more of your possessions, helping to achieve even greater peace of mind, this can be finalised quickly and easily via the website or with the help of one of our insurance partners' experienced and knowledgeable insurance experts.
