Living in Uxbridge

Author: Antony Gibson

Since 1965 Uxbridge has formed part of Greater London and has been a significant commercial and retail centre for some time.

Located at the western end of both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines of the London Underground, Uxbridge has easy access into central London and Heathrow Airport, and the M40 is only a five minute drive away.

Situated just inside the M25, Uxbridge not only offers residents an easy commute into London but also a quieter pace of life, compared to the capital, with Colne Valley Regional Park on your doorstep.

House prices in Uxbridge are consistently on the rise with the town being attractive and an easily commutable distance from the capital. In the last 12 months prices have risen by 10% on average and with demand continuing to outstrip supply further increases are expected over the next year.
