Dealing with solicitors is the most stressful part of a house move

Author: Antony Gibson

60% of home movers say dealing with solicitors is the most stressful part of the entire process, with lack of communication being a significant problem, according to a poll from Veyo.

Another recent survey, commissioned by the Conveyancing Association, highlighted that poor communication between estate agents, lawyers and lenders has resulted in 23% of transactions falling through.

“It’s clear from these findings that communication during the home moving process is a massive concern to buyers and sellers, and something estate agents should be aware of” comments Antony Gibson, Residential Sales Director at local estate agents, Romans.

“We work hard to minimise the stress often associated with moving home and have a dedicated team of Move Managers handling all of the communication between the third parties, once an offer has been accepted. This includes talking to the lawyer, lender, buyer, seller and the estate agent.”

Lisa Roe receiving flowersWith over 20 years’ industry experience, Move Manager, Natalie Boyd, understands more than most the unforeseen delays that can occur in the moving process: “90% of the time delays are not caused through fault of the buyer or seller, with so many different parties involved the smallest hang up along the way can cause delays of days, weeks or even months to the process of moving.

“We’re here to iron out these delays and communicate with all parties on the buyer or seller’s behalf; taking away the stress from our customers so they can concentrate on their move.”

“The best part of the job is being able to let the buyer or seller know when the sale has completed; it’s often a really special moment for them and I love being able to share that.”

Romans’ Move Managers really move you

Not only do Romans’ Move Managers enjoy sharing these moments with their customers, but their customers are also really moved by the job they do. So much so that last year the team received hundreds of gifts from happy home movers.

“We do this job because we love it and it’s wonderful to know how much happiness a successful house move can bring someone” adds Natalie.
