Lots to choose from at Romans’ summer auction

A fFerry Lane, Wraysburyish farm, five terraced houses, a town centre apartment, a former care home and several building plots are all available to buy at Romans’ next property auction on 29th July at 1.30pm at the Green Park Conference Centre in Reading.

“Not only do auctions provide one of the fastest and most efficient ways of selling property or land, but they offer buyers an abundance of choice of different types of property” comments Simons Clayton, Romans’ Auctions Director, “as is evident in our second summer auction of 2015.”

A more unusual property going under the hammer is a bungalow and commercial site, previously used as a fish farm, on Ferry Lane in Wraysbury. Close to the River Thames and on a plot of approximately 0.6 of an acre, the guide price of £400,000 and the potential for development is expected to appeal to many buyers.

Several properties are ideal for investors and those looking for a renovation project, including a period terraced house on Filey Road in Reading, offering a lot of character and the opportunity for complete modernisation. With a guide price of just £150,000 this vacant, three bedroom house is sure to be snapped up on the day.

TFiley Road, Readingwo further mid-terraced properties are going under the hammer in Reading; a three bedroom property on Queen Street in Caversham which has already attracted a lot of interest thanks to its popular location and estimated rental value of £1,250 pcm; and a Victorian terrace situated on Elm Park Road in Reading with a guide price of £200,000.

A vacant terraced house near Fleet town centre on Clarence Road is available with a guide price of £220,000. It’s in need of complete renovation but would offer a landlord an estimated rental value of £1,100 pcm, or a lovely home for a first-time buyer or couple.

The property has fantastic transport links close to hand including Maidenhead and Slough train stations and the M4, and is offered to the auction with a guide price of £380,000.

If yHemdean Road, Cavershamou’re looking for a house with plenty of bedrooms, then look no further; an 11 bedroom, detached property on Baskerville Road in Sonning Common is going under the hammer with a guide price of £520,000. Formerly, Orchard Lodge Nursing Home, this property has potential for change of use and with some modernisation would make a substantial family home.

A substantial bungalow located in a very popular residential area on Hemdean Road in Caversham is being offered with a guide price of £500,000. The 3/4 bedroom home is in an elevated position and benefits from gardens approaching half an acre, surrounding all four sides of the property.
