The Local Picture attracts stunning photographs

The Local PictureRomans has been overwhelmed by the high level of entries in its latest photography competition, with two weeks still remaining.

Close to 100 entries have already been received from budding photographers showcasing their home towns, netting over 3,200 votes from the public. All entrants have a chance to win one of four prizes with the top one being £500 in House of Fraser vouchers and a local charity donation of £3,000.

Romans invites you to enter before the deadline on 29th May:

“The popularity of this competition has been astounding” comments Vincent Courtney, Sales Managing Director of Romans. “We’re pleased to see such a fantastic selection of photos, from wild deer roaming in Windsor Great Park and fog on the River Thames in Caversham, to Lilly Hill House in Bracknell and the Red Arrows display at Farnborough International Airshow.

“The Local Picture is highlighting just how many wonderful things there are to showcase in this area and how proud everyone is of their home town.”

The photography competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over, whether you're a professional or an amateur; you can only enter one photograph, so make sure it’s your best one. Three winners will be chosen by judges, including a professional photographer, and one will be chosen by the public, so even if you don’t enter you can still vote for your favourite photos.

The rules are simple: the photographs must be taken within an area Romans estate and letting agencies operate, this includes; Reading, Wokingham, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Henley-on-Thames, Maidenhead, Sunningdale and Farnham and everywhere in between. If you’re not sure where your nearest Romans branch is, simply visit
