Winning Best Training and Development at the Estate Agency of the Year awards 2012, in association with The Times and Sunday Times, has spurred Romans on to continue to develop its in house training program.

In order to meet customers' high expectations budding estate agents begin their training in Romans Direct, the customer support department, which provides them with all the skills and knowledge they need to provide outstanding service.

Two recent alumni of Romans Direct; Conrad Young and George Hodder shared their experience of the transition:

"Romans Direct has really prepared me for working in a branch by giving me a thorough understanding of the buying and selling process," said Conrad, 21, who has now progressed to being an estate agent in Romans Lower Earley branch. "Overall I've learnt how to tailor my service to the customer. I can't wait to sell my first property."

George Hodder, 20, who started working for Romans in December 2011 and has now joined the Caversham team, agreed with Conrad, saying; "Romans Direct gave me invaluable communication and organisational skills. The team are really supportive and I feel really prepared to begin this new challenge."

We are always looking for new trainees to join our expanding business. Conrad and George are two great examples of how our training programme can nurture talented individuals into well rounded estate agents.
