New Home Information Pack Rules
New rules are introduced today (6th April 2009) which mean home owners must have a home information pack (HIP) in place before their property can be put on the market.
Government legislation states that most residential properties require a HIP, and they must be produced correctly to the right standard - if a HIP has non-compliant content, a solicitor could delay or stop the sale progressing until the correct information is provided.
Romans go one step further than most estate agents - our HIP Packages also include professionally produced photographs and floor plans.

The Romans Group is pleased to confirm the successful acquisition by its Lettings Division of Whiteknights Lettings which comprises a portfolio of properties stretching throughout the Reading area including, Tilehurst, Earley, Lower Earley and Woodley.
Peter Fuller, Romans Lettings Director, comments: "This represents our largest acquisition to date and will complement our existing lettings business, reinforcing our position as one of the area's leading lettings companies.
Whiteknights longstanding Landlords and Tenants will benefit from Romans high quality service, experience and systems, the latter for which we have recently been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 certification."
Whiteknights directors felt that Romans were best placed to offer their former clients the best management service and coverage for finding tenants as and when the properties become re-available for let.
The acquisition was concluded by Romans without the need for any external funding and with legal advice from Bill Annan of Clifton Ingram Solicitors in Wokingham.
