Romans website voted top 3 in the UK!
Romans’ website has won an award at the prestigious Daily Mail UK Property Awards 2009. We have been judged to be one of the top 3 property websites in the UK alongside Knight Frank and Harrods.
The event is part of the International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious competition dedicated to finding the best real estate professionals across the globe.
Peter Loverdos, Group Head of Marketing, comments: “This is a great accolade for us. We understand that online behaviour is changing and that our customer expectations are rising all the time. When we set out to create our new website, we wanted to move away from the standard format of listing reams of properties according to a search. We wanted our customers to be at the centre of our website and our vision was to create an online experience that they would enjoy, and come back to. We knew we had to be innovative.
“We chose to develop and maintain our website in-house, from design to programming and everything in between. The team is rightly delighted that an independent panel of property experts has acknowledged our site as leading the field in the UK.”
The prestigious judging panel that selected the Winning sites included :- Ben Wood, head of property at Google ; Eric Pickles, Chairman of the Conservative Party; Peter Bolton King, CEO of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) ; Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes magazine and Gillian Farr, head of design of Laura Ashley Home.
Romans TV – showing on a PC screen near you!
The Romans Group is delighted to announce that their brand new video channel Romans TV is now live online.
In the last few months, Romans has created a video library of useful information, testimonials and market updates - and these have now been launched in a single, easy-to-use online video channel.
“Independent research shows that almost 70% of people visit estate agent websites and almost 55% register online with an agent,” comments Peter Loverdos, Group Head of Marketing at Romans. ‘We like to innovate because it benefits our customers – so we’re using online video as another means of answering our customers’ property related questions. Some of the topics we cover include the importance of getting a survey, a customer’s view of Home Information Packs (HIPS), letting a property, the benefits of independent financial advice, and regular market updates from Dale Norton, who founded Romans over 23 years ago. On average, we have over 20,000 buyers and sellers visiting our website every week, so we hope they enjoy watching the videos - not only are they packed with lots of relevant information but they’re interactive too. You can even give them a star rating.”
